[vtkusers] Migration to VTK6

Thank you for your help!

I am now able to compile with cmake on linux, but get the following error
on macosx 10.11, even though there is no "unistd.h" anywhere in my github
repo (https://github.com/nipy/mindboggle/issues/69):
