[vtkusers] Minimize DICOM data

Hi,

I'm not sure how this is related to VTK? VTK has some support for reading
DICOM images, but no support for writing them, so you wouldn't be able to
use VTK to compress DICOM files, for instance.

You might consider looking at DCMTK for working with DICOM files
http://dicom.offis.de/dcmtk.php.en
