[vtkusers] Rendering PET tumor texture advice

Hi all I am using VTK to render PET tumors and looking at their texture,

The results that I have at the moment when I use a slice to scroll through
the rendered volume appear blocky

Does anyone have any advice on how to implement modern rendering methods for
my intended goal of visualizing texture through a volume?
