Subject: Visualizing a Beam model ( space frame structure) Results in
Paraview
To: vtkusers at vtk.org
Dear All VTK users,
I am new to VTK capabilities and would like
to get answer from any of you in this forum.
I would like to visualise the structural analysis results of a space frame
structures in Paraview, where the structural elements are BEAM elements.
i.e. for each beam 3 nodes are specified. Basically its a line with 3
points. See attached file Beam_model.bmp which is having 2 beams.
The geometry file is a surface mesh to display beams of various cross
sections Pipe, I sections with regular connectivity. Is it possible to map
the results from thestructural analysis into the Geometry mesh file.
I.e. we have access to the node and element results in the beam model. Now
these data has to be mapped on the surface mesh geometry file.
Any suggestion is welcome here.
Thanks and Regards
Muthu
