[vtkusers] Build depth map when volume rendering

Deal all,

I'm trying to build depth map of my volume data.


I followed the example here:

http://www.vtk.org/Wiki/VTK/Examples/Cxx/Utilities/ZBuffer to visualize the
zbuffer.

This works fine in polyData case.



But I got empty map when volume rendering case.

*I need depth map for getting 3D position of the outer surface of the
volume.*

And I have to use vtkOpenGLGPUVolumeRayCastMapper for rendering.




Does vtk provide any methods to achieve this? Or there is any examples I
can follow?
