[vtkusers] Reading different series images from a single dicom folder

Thanks for your reply. 
But i want to use vtk only. 
I have sorted and separated the dicom files into two different series and
stored their file names in two vectors. Now i used the vtkDICOMImageReader
to read the files individually and used vtkImageAppend class for appending
the image data. But the z - spacing is lost.
Can anyone help in solving this issue or suggest any other way to solve
this...
