[vtkusers] What is the best way to clip a volume with a implicit function?

Hello,

Is vtkClipVolume the best filter to use to clip a vtkImageData with 
vtkSphere? Would the output (being a unstructured grid) make rendering 
of the clipped volume slower than rendering a vtkImageData? Thanks.
