Sorry for such a delayed answer.
I'm running the lastest Fedora 64 bits version (Fedora 18)
Yes, i run glxgears without problems and glxinfo | grep direct returns:
direct rendering: Yes
server glx vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation
server glx version string: 1.4
(list of all extensions supported)
OpenGL renderer string: Quadro 4000/PCIe/SSE2
OpenGL version string: 4.2.0 NVIDIA 304.64
I will try QVTKWidget as soon as I can.. and let yow know if it helps or not
