[vtkusers] Can vtkPlaneWidget GetPolyData() work without mouse interaction?

Hi,

Is there a way using which I get the polydata of the region where the
vtkPlaneWidget is positioned without mouse interactions? 

The reason I ask is because I am using a 6DOF sensor to control the
movements of the vtkPlaneWidget in place of the mouse and without the mouse
interacting with the plane, I get no data.
