[vtkusers] write a file added from weighted sum

Hi VTK users

I used vtkimageweighted sum  to add two binary images.After adding, the
data type is unsignedchar. Now I want to write it into a file. I am unaware
of the file format (.mhd or .vtk  any other).Can any body please tell  me
how  to write it and how to visualize it.
