[vtkusers] PostMessage to hwnd: ... failed with error: 00000578 - VTK 5.10.1 + Qt

Hi,

I have noticed that with VTK 5.10.1 my Qt based app reports the above error
when closing. It also occurs with the test QtVTKRenderWindows.exe
    .....
    The thread 'Win32 Thread' (0xf9c) has exited with code 0 (0x0).
    PostMessage to hwnd: 000b0b52 failed with error: 00000578
    The program '[444] QtVTKRenderWindows.exe: Native' has exited with code
0 (0x0).

I am therefore guessing this may be Qt related. Has anyone else running
Windows seen this?
(no problems with VTK 5.8.0)

VTK5.10.1, Qt4.6.2, Win XP, VS 2008.
