[vtkusers] Cropping out a portion of an image

Dear vtk users,
   I have some raw images. For further processing, I need to crop out a portion of the image with a certain radius from the center of the image. I would like to use the cropped portion for surface reconstruction using vtkImageReader. Please provide me some suggestion how that cropping can be performed using vtk.
