[vtkusers] Can't use HAVS without scalars!

Hello

I tried to reconstruct 3D volume form a series of DICOM by following this
example:
http://www.itk.org/Wiki/VTK/Examples/Cxx/VolumeRendering/HAVSVolumeMapper
It *works* for some and *not for others*. I have a series of PET images
(dicom) I can see them slice by slice but when It comes to 3D
reconstruction, I got this errors:

*Can't use HAVS without scalars!*

Can anyone explain me what does it mean?
