[vtkusers] Flattening a probed surface

I got a curved surface and I would like to make it planar, this surface its
an  vtkProbeFilter object produced by probing a surface with a dicom image
volume, I would like to keep the distance between all the points.

I've used this example to get the curved surface
http://vtk.org/Wiki/VTK/Examples/Cxx/Visualization/CurvedReformation, there
you can see better what I'm talking about.

¿Is it possible using VTk libs?
¿May I need ITK libs for this ?
