[vtkusers] detect an octree's region!!!

hi every body,
I'm working on 3D meshes, I used the octree method to subdivide this mesh to
regions.Now, i wanna that when i pick in a region,  i can retrieve it in
order to aply a compression method on it.Any body can help me and thanks.
