[vtkusers] Using point data to define clipping function

I have a polydata set with a 4th variable defined at each node (after X,Y,
and Z position).  I would like to clip the polydata at a certain value of
the associated variable.  I'm assuming the best way to do this is to use
vtkClipPolyData.  How do I go about this - do I need to somehow define an
implicit surface from the pointset?

(I'm using Python)
