[vtkusers] Help for the slice extraction from a vtkVolume

Hi, everybody:

I want to extract the slices along z axis from a rendered volume by
"vtkVolumeRayCastCompositeFunction" method, but I don't know how to deal
with the data type of vtkVolume ? Can I visit each voxel in vtkVolume? Or
can I convert vtkVolume to vtkImageData ? Or Is there any method that can
be used for extracting the slice from a vtkVolume ?
