[vtkusers] Registration between surfaces and point clouds

Hi ITK and VTK users

 

I am interested in performing an affine registration between a surface and a
set of points. There have been a couple of messages on the VTK lists awhile
ago, but nothing suggesting a solution.

 

I'm writing to see if 

a)      Anyone has been working on a similar problem and could point me in
the best direction to start

b)      If the new ITK registration framework has any support for point
clouds and surfaces?
