[vtkusers] Render times for on/offscreen rendering

Hi list,

I'm doing some rendering for which offscreen is a must, however I'm noticing a significant difference in the render times for on and offscreen volume rendering - a problem that seems to be exacerbated when I include streamlines.

As a zero order question: should one expect there to be significant differences in the render time for an identical scene for on vs. offscreen rendering?
