[vtkusers] Grid or polydata to imagedata

Hello,

I have geometric data in the form of a polydata or grid and I want to 
generate a vtkImageData from it with the corresponding scalar values. 
Some people suggest:  probefilter, polydatatoimagestencil.

What I want to achieve is to visualize a set of samples and zoom over 
them without getting interpolated values but getting a pixelated image 
of them.

Any ideas???
