[vtkusers] Performance of multiple Rendering Window vs View Port

Hi vtkUsers, Using multiple rendering windows frees me from arranging the size and positions of different views, but I'm not sure what performance implication is of using multiple rendering windows instead of multiple viewport in a single rendering window.  Has anyone done some study about this? Thanks for any information that you can share!
