[vtkusers] How to select a surface area

Hi guys

I need to select a surface area on a .stl surface and do sphere fitting for
the points in that area. But I couldn't find anything with which I could
select the area on the surface.

Does anyone know how I could do that? Is there any kind of picker that does
this or should I use something else?
