[vtkusers] vtkDebugMacro

Hi,
I have similar problem. I have created a simple (Windows) console
application and would like to use
vtkDebugMacro/vtkWarningMacro/vtkErrorMacro to shell out messages to a
command prompt window or a Linux terminal. When I ran the code, I got
"access violating reading location 0xffffffffffffff." 
Can we use these macros in non-graphical mode? Thanks a lot.
