Let's start over:

1) Which operating system are you using?
2) Which IDE are you using?
3) Create a directory called ReadPLY
4) Go to this page:
http://www.vtk.org/Wiki/VTK/Examples/Cxx/IO/ReadPLY and copy the code
under ReadPLY.cxx into a file named ReadPLY.cxx and place it in your
ReadPLY directory. Do the same for the CMakeLists.txt

Depending on your answers to 1 and 2, we'll go from there.
