[vtkusers] post process cfd data on the fly

Hi,

I wonder, if there is an example similar to the co-processing features 
of paraview, but using plain vtk!? For this I do not want to write out 
any vtk-formated data file, but rather transfer the data directly to 
some slice or streamline filter. Is this possible. And maybe anyone did 
this already for OpenFOAM data !?
