I am involved in a development project that used VTK and Qt. An issues exists were by on certain machines running either Windows Vista or Windows 7 when a Qt menu item overlays a view and then goes away, the view will only update in the area that was previously occupied by the menu. Resizing the view will restore normal behavior
This seems to happen only on certain systems, and only on systems that are not using Windows Aero themes. There are some Windows system that work fine even when the do not emplore an Aero based theme.
It also appears that using a QVTKWidget2 object instead of QVTKWidget for the view will also fix the problem, however other functionally is substantially broken by the class switch.
What do people know about issues when non-aero based Windows theme and problems with VTK that might offer insight into how to fix this problem?
