[vtkusers] selecting points

Hello,

 

I am plotting some points via vtkPoints class. Now I want to select some
points by defining a polygon. Every point which is inside the polygon,
should be selected.

 

My first step was to draw with every single click one point and connect
the point with the last point. But now I found the area picker and it
sounds like this is a built-in solution. 

 

Before I am investing more time in one of the solutions, my question is:
Is the area picker the solution for this problem?
