[vtkusers] vtkConnectivityFilter can't split 1D regions ?

Hi there vtk users,

It seems that the vtkConnectivityFilter can't work with a 1D grid, regions
are always 2D surface.
Has anyone ever succeeded in splitting a 1D grid based on a feature angle ?
If not, is there a solution without iterating over all edges ?
