I have the following notes for running Java on windows.

When running, add the following to the system PATH:

VTKBuildDir/bin/Debug
C:/Program Files/Java/jdk1.6.0_13/jre/bin
C:/Program Files/Java/jdk1.6.0_13/jre/bin/server

HTH,
Jeff
