[vtkusers] Visualizing 2D data in 3D

Hi folks, 

Was wondering how to go about visualizind 2D data in a 3D space. So, I have
a 2D dataset from an axi-symmetric model and want to display this as a 3D
image. Therefore rotate the dataset to form, for example a disk. Is this
possible and if so, how would you go about it?
