[vtkusers] vtkTextActor question

Hi, all -

  I am trying to build a 2D slice slider, and I want
to display the current slice number in the 2D rendering window. I have
the slice index number, and I am using vtkTextActor to display, but my
problem is when I move to the next slice using slider, the previous
slice number doesn't disappear, instead all the text information got
overlapped. 
  How should I solve this problem? Is vtkTextActor the right one to use?
