[vtkusers] Problem with Producer Port

Hello

I copy the actual state of a vtkPolyData object using DeepCopy. Later in my programm the original vtkPolyData object gets changed/erased (thats the reason for deepCopy). But I have the problem that i want to use the vtkAppendPolyData filter on this copy of the (deleted) original.The vtkAppendPolyData needs the producer port of the vtkPolyData object (the producer does not exist any more or is modified) and throws an exception.

Any ideas, hints?
