Thank you David.
In fact, that's my problem, i'm lost and i don't know what to do to spin one of the volumes i have.
I really need help to resolve that ambiguous situation.

ICP only guarantees a local optimum, that is, if you start in a very bad initial relative pose, you will not find the "correct" (ie. global) solution you are looking for. You need to use another technique (ie. spin images) to initialize the ICP.

Thanks,

David

Hi all vtk users.
I'm trying to make the registration of two 3D volumes using ICP. My problem is that, at their origianl positions, the volumes are opposed, so the result of ICP is wrong : i have 2 opposed volumes placed at the same refernce.
Can you tell me how to reverse one of the 2 volumes to have a correct result? It's an emergency.
Thank you
