[vtkusers] VTK installation problem in openSUSE 11.0

hi there ,
sorry for bothering you with this problem .it looks like many people have the same problem ,although i tried the previous posts but the problem still the same .
here is the problem :

 CMake Error at /usr/share/cmake/Modules/CMakeTestCXXCompiler.cmake:25
 (MESSAGE):
   The C++ compiler "/usr/bin/gcc" is not able to compile a simple test
   program.

   It fails with the following output:

    Change Dir: /usr/local/VTK/CMakeFiles/CMakeTmp



   Run Build Command:/usr/bin/gmake "cmTryCompileExec/fast"

   /usr/bin/gmake -f CMakeFiles/cmTryCompileExec.dir/build.make
   CMakeFiles/cmTryCompileExec.dir/build

   gmake[1]: Entering directory `/usr/local/VTK/CMakeFiles/CMakeTmp'

since i am very beginner to linux and vtk i don't really know what should i do .
