[vtkusers] Use vtkOBJExporter to convert vtp into obj?

It seems like vtkOBJExporter is used to write vtkRenderWindow's to an obj
file, but is there a way to write a polydata directly to an obj file?
vtkOBJReader can produce a polydata, but there seems to be no vtkOBJWriter.
Is linked to why Paraview cannot read/write obj's?
