[vtkusers] Help needed for MetaImage format info

Hi everyone,
 
I'm writing down a thesis on a work I made with VTK/ITK classes, and I'd 
like to have some information about MetaImage file format: I used 
vtkMetaImageWriter/vtkMetaImageReader in my project, and I'd be glad if 
anyone could point me to the format author's webpage or something like that.
I'd appreciate very much your help.
