[vtkusers] vtk-5.x and grass-6.4.0 example

Hi,
        Has someone worked with vtk-5.x and grass-6.4.0 before? I want  
to create a cxx example, which imports 3D map/terrain data from  
grass-6.4.0 and get it to display using vtk-5.x.

In grass-6.4.0, you have two classes

r.out.vtk: converts raster maps into the VTK-ASCII format for 3D  
visualization

r3.out.vtk: converts 3D raster maps into the VTK-ASCII format for  
visualization

What are the classes that I need to consider in vtk, to import this  
grass data and display it?
