[vtkusers] Infovis: VertexDegree calculated automatically?

Hey,

In vtkGraphLayoutView, if you SetColorVertices(True), but don't  
specify a VertexColorArrayName, I see that vtkGraphMapper uses  
"VertexDegree" by default.

Is VertexDegree calculated by automatically behind the scenes? The  
graph gets colored by this quantity, but when viewing the arrays  
associated with my graph I don't even see VertexDegree...
