[vtkusers] Required help about vtk

Dear sir/madam,
               I am scientific officer in RRCAT,indore.I want to use
VTK.For this purpose i have performed these step:-
../bootstrap
make
make install
ls -d VTK
mkdir VTK-build
ccmake ../VTK
make

all these commands are performed successfully.I have got no error it means
configuration was completed successfully.But i cant understand its a cmake
installation or vtk configuration and if it is vtk installation then how i
can run example.And please give me list of some programmes which i can use
for vtk.
