[vtkusers] Paraview client. Passing a variable from the program that is used to start the server back to Paraview client.

This question is really better suited to the ParaView users list:
paraview at paraview.org; please post it on that list instead. Like the VTK
list, you must subscribe before you can post messages; you can do that
here (http://public.kitware.com/mailman/listinfo/paraview) is you have
not already done so.
