[vtkusers] VTK Sphere Benchmark

Dear VTK users,

You probably know the VTK sphere benchmark of  Robert Riviere and 
Sebastien Barre. Unfortunately, only the Tcl version is available.  So 
I'm wondering whether someone  has translated it in python or C++.
Is there some more recent VTK benchmark in python or C++?
