[vtkusers] DEFEND OPEN STANDARDS : NO to the Microsoft Office format as an ISO standard

Without discussing the merits of this message - is this sort of think  
acceptable on the vtkusers e-mail list?

I understand that the author thinks it's important - but it looks  
VERY off-topic to me.
