[vtkusers] make test reports SegFaults on RedHat linux AWS 4 gcc3.3

The tests that pass need no display, those that fail do.
try
setenv DISPLAY localhost:0 (or the machine with the graphics)
then run tests again. (also Xhost + if necessary on the terminal with 
the screen)
