[vtkusers] Extracting edge regions of a surface

Hi,
To extract faces of a volume I do the following:
vtkDataSetSurfaceFilter -> vtkPolyDataNormals -> vtkConnectivityFilter(for
each region).

Is there a way to do it for surfaces - extract each edges as a region? (i.e.
for a quad - extract 4 different edges).
