[vtkusers] Does exist something like a vtk editor (for *.vtk files)

Hi,

I have vtk files, like VLG_blade.vtk. this files are filed with an structured grid and scalar or vektor data for each vertex. The vtk files are binar saved so i cant change the strukture or the information.
my question: is there a programm where i can see the the vetrexdata and can change them. 
Every programm i found like MayaVi and Vistrails and ... are show only finish polygon surface and the vtk posibilities to change the view but i cant work with the datas them self.
