Dear vtk-users,

I am looking for an isosurfacing algorithm implementing a
multiresolution strategy/level of detail, as described as the 'adaptive
marching cubes' in

@article{ shu95adaptive,
    author = "Renben Shu and Chen Zhou and Mohan S. Kankanhalli",
    title = "Adaptive marching cubes",

1. As far as i browsed through the vtkMarchingCubes.cxx code it
implements the 'normal' MC right?

2. Do you know of any implementation of the above algorithm ('adaptive
marching cubes') in vtk|itk|elsewhere free?

(3. would you suggest different approaches for adaptive/feature based
surface reconstruction?)

Thanks in advance,

Felix.
