[vtkusers] Polydata to Structured points?

hi vtk users,

  i want to ask again about how to reform an image from the form of polydata to the form of "2D/pixels" structured points or image data?....my problem is that all the filters i use gives an o/p of type vtkPolyData while all techniques of displaying 2D  images on renderers takes input of vtkImageData type......

  anybody can help with that...?.....or even guide me to get vtkImageData output out of the filters i'm using (starting with probe filter for example)?
