after a little help the cutting plan "problem" was solved quickly ...
but i'm still looking fpr a dual-render-soulution as discribed below ...
can anyone help?

dear community,
i'm looking for an easy to do solution for the following problem:
i've got voxel-data of an MRI-scan of a human brain stored in
vtkStructuredPoints and i've got a reconstructered surface of this brains
cortex stored as vtkPolyData. now i want to visualize both together for
visual checking the correctness of the reconstruction. so beside the
combined visualization i also need some king of cutting plane.
does anyone knows a quick solution?
maybe a cutting plane for the polygonal data would be enough first...
thx in advance
