[vtkusers] adding a scale bar to the vtkRenderWindow

I am creating an application to allow the user to interact with a volume 
rendering of a cell.  I know how big the volume is in microns in each 
direction, and I would like to find a way to add a scale bar to the render 
window.  Does anyone know of any good ways to do this.
