[VTKUSERS] How to access vtk5 library?

try

cvs -d :pserver:anonymous at public.kitware.com:/cvsroot/VTK login    
(password: vtk)

and then

cvs -d :pserver:anonymous at public.kitware.com:/cvsroot/VTK co -P -r 
VTK-5-0 VTK
